Conventions, Horror Week and More

September 28, 2007

Sydcon is this weekend in Sydney. If you live in Australia (or are willing to go there) you can play Panty Explosion with Joe Sweeney, the creator of the Panty Explosion auto-fill Student Record! Joe will be giving away a signed copy of the book to his “Best Player”, and all participants will receive a free PF copy of Panty Explosion! Good deal! Hunt Joe down and demand a game!

Australia too far? Try Denmark! October 11th-14th Copenhagen hosts Viking Con. I was very, very close to attending this one , but Jason Morningstar gobbled up my invitation! It’s all good though! Jason has offered to demo Classroom Deathmatch while he’s there, so don’t be afraid to ask! The con organizers has also organized a game of Classroom Deathmatch, and there will be a copy of Panty Explosion available as a prize! Go and have fun!

So thats the foreign stuff. What else is going on? October 15th is Horror Review Week at RPG.net. Review a horor game and you’ll be entered to win some cool prizes, including PDF copies of Panty Explosion and Classroom Deathmatch. I would really, really love to see a few reviews of both CDM and PE show up on RPG.net for Horror Week. Do you know that CDM has never been reviewed in English? That seems like a crime! Show your love (or hate)) of Atarashi Games by reviewing Classroom Deathmatch and Panty explosion for Horror Week! As qa special bonus, we’ll be offering a secret prize to one random reviewer!

Finally, if you live in Portland (like me!) you’ll want to check out the Go Play PDX site. This is a new home base site for Portlans growing indie gamers community. The site is still in development, but I’d like to encourage all Portland gamers to come on over and make this site you own!

New user created Student Records!

September 16, 2007

I’ve recently been sent some cool user created Student Records that I’d like to share. Joseph sent this cool auto-fill Panty Explosion Student Record. Perfect for quick character creation! Nathanael sent an improved version of the Classroom Deathmatch Student Record pack that prints easier then the current version. I’m replacing the current version with this one.  I’d encourage everyone to download both these PDFs for your games!

New official stuff is on the way. I’m very slowly redoing the Classroom Deathmatch student record pack for both the ease in printing of Nathanael’s version and to fix some errors that have been pointed out.  I’m also working on a second Classroom Deathmatch student pack with a selection of new students to use in bloody combat!  Also look for new Battlegrounds and weapon cards! Coming soon! Swear to god!

Templo de Hecate reviews Classroom Deathmatch

September 2, 2007

Andres over at Templo de Hecate reviewed Classroom Deathmatch awhile back. This is a very nice review that I totally forgot to post about! Andres says some nice things about the game, although he scored it lower then Panty Explosion because unlike PE, Classroom Deathmatch is made to do one very specific thing. Andres and I talked about this a few months ago. I don’t see Classroom Deathmatch’s singular focus as a bad thing, but I respect Andres’ opinion. Thanks Andres!

You can read the review in Spanish here.
